Identify three different storage devices. Describe the storage media of each (the type of material they are made of). What are their advantages and disadvantages?
SSD - A solid state drive uses flashed file storage that is not as susceptible to physical interference or damage such as a platter based hard drive. It is made of a metal casing, circuit board, and many semi conductors. They are still expensive and offer less storage space.Cloud Storage - Cloud storage means that any of your files that you upload into storage online is kept safe and secure on a server in an offsite location. This allows you to access any of your files on any computer wherever you may be as long as their is an internet connection. The downside is the small amount of free storage that you receive.
USB stick - Ultra portable device for storing files and taking them with you. USB sticks are very cheap to buy and provide a lot of storage for the price. The bad thing is that they are so small, they are very very easy to misplace or forget and should not hold important documents. They are usually made of a metal input connected to a chip board and covered by a plastic casing.
